Disinfecting is not cleaning
The two words are often used interchangeably, and that is exactly where most interventions fail. Cleaning removes visible soil and organic residue. Disinfection reduces the microbial load remaining on an already-clean surface. A disinfectant applied to a still-dirty surface binds to the soil rather than the substrate: the product is consumed with no real effect.
This is why we always work in two distinct passes — clean first, then disinfect — and why we respect the contact time stated by the manufacturer. A virucide that requires five minutes of wet contact but is wiped off after thirty seconds has not disinfected anything; it has simply dampened the surface. This is the step the cheapest quotes cut first, because it costs time and nobody can see it.
When disinfection becomes necessary
The most common case is an illness wave in an office or a school: flu, gastroenteritis, norovirus. A handful of contaminated desks is enough to keep an infection circulating through an open-plan floor for weeks, because the shared contact points — handles, switches, lift buttons, the coffee machine — are never treated.
The other triggers are more predictable: an approaching hygiene inspection in a restaurant, a bin room that turns in summer, changing rooms and showers in a gym, a nursery after a reported case, or an apartment at end of tenancy after long occupancy. In all these cases the value lies not in the product used but in the method and in written proof of what was actually done.
What we do not do: pest control
We do not carry out rodent control, insect control or bed bug treatment. That is a separate, regulated trade: applying biocides against rodents and insects requires a specific professional authorisation, and we do not hold it.
We would rather state this plainly than sell a service we are not licensed to provide. If you have an infestation, call a licensed pest-control company directly — we can point you to one. Once the treatment is finished, however, disinfecting and restoring the surfaces is exactly our trade, and we are glad to handle that stage.

What is the difference between cleaning and disinfection?
Cleaning removes visible soil. Disinfection reduces the microbial load on an already-clean surface. Order matters: a disinfectant applied to a dirty surface binds to the soil and loses its effect. The two operations are complementary, not interchangeable.
Do you carry out rodent control or bed bug treatment?
No. Rodent and insect control is a separate, regulated trade that requires a professional authorisation for the use of biocides — we do not hold it. We will point you to a licensed company. We are, however, happy to step in after the treatment, for disinfection and restoring the surfaces.
Are your products safe for occupants?
Yes. We use disinfectants approved in Switzerland, applied at the prescribed dilutions. Technical and safety data sheets are supplied on request. In kitchens and food areas we use food-contact compatible products and rinse the surfaces concerned.
How long before the premises can be reoccupied?
For standard surface disinfection, the premises are usable as soon as surfaces are dry, generally fifteen to thirty minutes. After fogging, allow one to two hours of ventilation. We usually schedule in the evening so the question does not arise the next morning.
Do you work outside opening hours?
Yes, and it is the most common arrangement. Evenings, nights and weekends let us respect contact times without disrupting your business or interrupting your teams.
Can you respond urgently after a case of illness?
